What is Kelo?
Kelo is Arctic-aged pine timber, up to 300 years old, that dried naturally while still standing in the harsh latitudes of Karelia.

After reaching 70–100 years, the tree dries out—its resin sinks and seals all vascular channels, halting nutrient flow. Despite this, the pine remains upright for centuries under its own weight, slowly shedding needles, then bark, until it becomes naturally preserved by wind and frost.

Our Kelo banya is crafted from Karelian deadwood pine, with logs dating back over 120 years—meaning these trees stood tall even during the reign of the Russian Tsars.
